I’m doing a project on how addictive certain drugs are but I can’t seem to find anything with a timeline for how quickly peole become addicted. Sources would be greatly appreciated.

Heroin Addiction: Massage Therapy and Heroin Addiction (Hands of Hope)
Massage therapists interviewed recovering heroin addicts (myself and Paula) on the disease of addiction. The interview was meant to be informational to massage therapists that are interested in massaging newly recovering addicts, and those in active addiction. This video covers the pro’s and con’s of massage therapy and how it may help the still suffering (or once suffered) addict. The video was presented to the class of Cortiva Institute in Crystal Lake, Illinois, and was found extremely helpful and informational. This was the final project the class had to do in order to graduate. All in all, 8 different groups 4-5 people were asked to create a business that involved massage therapy in a unique and helpful way to people. My mother, being all too familiar with my heroin addiction, knew instantly what she wanted to do. “Hands of Hope” was the fictitious business her and her group agreed and decided on. Their target audience was addicts of all shapes and sizes, focusing mainly on those that are detoxing from their drug of choice. The idea was, that they would go to rehabilitation centers and massage the clients that were still in the detox phase of their treatment. Throughout the course of the year, the classmates had to have x amount of hours doing hands on massage in order to get their license.
