Russian heroin is sometimes more than 70 per cent pure. More than 90 per cent of Russia’s heroin comes from Afghanistan, it is freely available and extremely cheap. There are rumours that the Abkhazian port has now become a major trafficking route for heroin into Western Europe, run by the Ukrainian mafia.
