Is Addiction a Sin? I Know Its Not a Good Thing to Be Addicted to Something but It Still Makes Me Wonder.?
Question by Gavin: Is Addiction a sin? I know its not a good thing to be addicted to something But it still makes me wonder.?
I am not saying im the perfect Human or by any means the “best” christian in this world, But I do know I will die someday and I will never really understand a single thing about heaven or Hell till I make it to 1 or the other. Anyways my question is addiction a sin? I know we don’t just do something over and over again without calling it a “addiction” like smoking, drinking, drugs, food, sex, ect. Now Im not saying I wanna be perfect or be saved cus I dont know whats gonna happen to my soul when I perish from this world. I just wanna know cus if we smoke cigarettes but don’t always smoke em or we drink on accations but not always drink is that a sin? I know its not addiction. I believe that a “addiction” is simply something you cant stop thinking about and doing in this world so there for it has to be a sin because its not something we so quote “enjoy” its something we “need” rather then then just enjoy it to the ocations.
So with that being said, Please I do not want to hear another juhov witness, Mormon, Nor Ctholic comment on this question. I don’t believe in there standards. If not paying money to churches to save your loved ones from Hell is a sin then what dos that tell you?
