What Did Your Anxiety Meds Do to You? Did They Help or Did You Switch?

Question by : What did your Anxiety Meds do to you? Did they help or did you switch?
Hi, My doctor just prescribed me lorazapam, .05 and it wasn’t helping so they uped my dosage to 1mg. He also prescribed me zoloft, for depression & he says it will also help my anxiety attacks.

I am just wondering, how they help? And if you are on any kind of anxiety meds, how they help your attacks, if you can give me details about before & after,
Before you took the meds, what were your attacks like?
&& After you started taking the medication, Did your anxiety Attacks go away or did they mellow them out? Or did you have to try a bunch of meds to get the right one? that would be soooo helpful!!
My medication are just making me SLEEPY AS HELL!! NO ENERGY
Pharmacists told me to take zoloft at night instead,(so I did) I know its not the zoloft because the lorazepam is making me drained after I take it esp, after a attack 🙁
I am just wondering if this is normal with all medication, or if your attacks went away all together?

How Would You React if You Parent Told You This in a Lecture?

Question by Iamhere: How would you react if you parent told you this in a lecture?
So the other day I got one of those you need to make a dramatic change in your life lecture. My dad said I’m addicted music. When I am alone I do listen to music. I sometimes listen while doing homework if the homework is long. When I study my music is off. When I’m w/my friends music is completely out of my mind. I didn’t take my ipod on our 5 day vacation and it didn’t bother me at all. My dad said I don’t want to join a club in school because I want to run home and get “high” on my music. I felt really upset w/that statement. Would you be upset too?

Why Do You Assume It’s Me Doing Drugs?

Question by Meg: why do you assume it’s me doing drugs?
I asked about the half life of heroin and some very judgemental people assumed it’s me doing drugs-In fact this is about my daughter who I found out is and addict and the only way she can be admitted into the hospital for detox and rehab is if she tests “dirty”, What’s wrong with you people? I’m trying to save her life.

I can really empathize with you on this question. Rather than answering the question properly, most people on Y/A would rather attack or judge, not all people….but a lot of them. I run into it all the time. Just don’t let it get you, and continue asking until you get a good answer. It helps to give a low rating that way you can no longer see the negative responses, that is often the route I take. I hope you find what you are looking for.
