How Do “Head Collars” for Puppies and Dogs Work?
Question by vikky b: How do “Head Collars” for puppies and dogs work?
I am having difficulty training my border collie pup to do what he is told on the leash and not pull constantly. I have heard that a Head Collar is the best way to fix this. Could anyone tell me good or bad experiences with it and how it is supposed to work? Mainly if you have used it and what you think of it. Thanks !
Haha, to the third answer down, I know you haven’t read up on your facts, and don’t have a dog yourself. If you do, I’m surprised. I have read in many books that it is worthwhile if you are having difficulties, and a few people have told me. Just no-one has told me either why it is good, or how they actually work, just it helped them along their way.
For reference, if I knew it hurt them in any way, then I would not use it. For example, I don’t agree with shock collars at all.
