Question by sue: Any book suggestions if my significant other is an addict?
Recently I dated a guy who is an addict, and even though he has given his biggest addictions the boot, such as heroin, there were still some issues. We aren’t currently speaking because of some relapse problems, however I still care about him more than words can even explain. I worry about him all the time and can’t seem to get him off my mind. Can anyone recommend a good book for me to kind of help me through this rough period? I’m around 20 years old and it would really help if the book recommendation could target that age group rather than a book made more for a married couple. Thanks in advance!
douglas, addicts need love too. if you were deemed unloveable just because you don’t know the difference between “there”, “they’re”, “their”, “your”, and “you’re”; i bet you’d feel pretty bummed. my feelings for him are not an illusion, i really do care about him. however, this isn’t the topic of my question.
and for the record i asked for a book suggestion, not a meeting suggestion.

I think Mario’s voice is amazinggggg i downloaded this song from him called “Right n Wrong Way” i believe it’s off this new cd n he sung it so beautifully. He can sing n dance n does it both equally well. N his show just shows another side of him. I’m truly a big fan. He’s another artist that i just can’t wait until their cd comes out. His last one was good 2. But what’s ur thoughts on Mario, his music n his show.

i think he’s AMAZING! even though his super good new songs “how do i breathe” and “crying out for me” isnt really popular, its sooo good. the only song by him that actually plays on the radio is “let me love you” and tahts wrote by ne yo. a lot of people dont really find mario as good because his songs doesnt spread out. but truly, he got talent. i just dont know why the radio doesnt play his songs

I recently read that Subutex/Suboxone can be perscribed by any Doctor for the treatment of cronic pain…. if it is perscribed for pain then it is concidered “off label” reason and the Doctor does not need that special DATA 2000 number they would need in order to perscribe it for “opiate addiction”……… is this really true?
I’ve been taking pain meds for a few years and do have documented pain issues and need my pain controlled but I would like to take a break from the Oxycontin/Percocets for a few months to give my body a break and I heard that Subutex/Suboxone could help me avoid withdrawls and also help with pain.
Which one is better Subutex or Suboxone?
I will go back on my origianl meds after awhile but maybe I can start over with low doses again after my body breathes. Any ideas?
I don’t abuse my current meds… I just want a break.
Is it true that my primary write a script for Subutex/Suboxone that says “1 tab 2xday for cronic pain”? even without a special # ?

So, I’m a 15 year old girl and I have what you might call a social networking “addiction”. I’m on spring break and it’s been getting a lot worse. Every morning, I first wake up around 8. I could sleep for a few more hours, but I instantly feel the NEED to reach for my iPod and phone and check my email, texts, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, etc. Then I feel like I just have to check all the celebrity apps. U do this all because I love staying up to date with news, and I feel like I’ve missed everything when I’m asleep. I really hate this because I could continue sleeping, but this NEED to get up to date makes me wake up then I can never get back to sleep. But if I don’t check it, then I just sit in bed and get paranoid. I really need some advice as to how to break this “addiction” and stop feeling the need to constantly check everything. ANY advice is appreciated! Thanks!
