What Do You Think of My Article? HARMD More Harm Than Good?
Question by DynoDiKk: What do you think of my article? HARMD more harm than good?
Methadone and Harmd. Is Harmd doing more harm?
I am here to write my opinion on HARMD. This means; “Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths”.
Although their intentions might be good or in their own mind considered good. H.A.R.M.D. is disseminating lies about the drug Methadone. A co-founder of this organzition experienced a horrible tragedy in regards to the admintration of this drug in a professional medical setting.
As the story goes this individuals loved one was addicted to Oxycodone. Upon seeking medical help for this, the Medical facilty gave this person Methadone in conjunction with a benzodiazepiene and this person tragically died as a result of this combination. A dangerous combination.
Heroin: Someone With Experience Using Feel Comfortable Describing It? Anyone Have Any True Stories?
Question by :::?:::Castle:::?:::: Heroin: someone with experience using feel comfortable describing it? Anyone have any true stories?
Come on people, this is for college research. “Don’t do it” and “It is addicting, and expensive”, so on and so forth does not describe the feeling of using it. Could someone with experience using the drug heroin if you feel comfortable, would you describe the sensation. Be as specific as you feel comfortable being.

My Cousin Is a Drug Addict and Is on Methadone Treatments?
Question by Siraco&Sophie: My cousin is a drug addict and is on methadone treatments?
My cousin is a major drug addict and is trying to get off of heroine so they are giving her methadone treatments. My family was just told that my cousins money is running out now to still recieve her methadone injections and that if she doesnt get the money to still take her methadone treatments then she is going to die. I know nothing about drugs or understand any of it so if my cousin can not get the money to pay for her injections will she really die and why will this cause her too die? My mother is the one who told me this and dont know alot of information on all of this or why they say she could die from this so if someone knows any information on any of this please let me know. Im really worried about my cousin now so could this really be true? Could she really die?
Methadone(opiate Addiction)?
Question by Tom: Methadone(opiate addiction)?
I’m starting, hopefully, my methadone treatment tomorrow. I’ve been on heroin in the past, the last time I’ve used heroin was over three years ago. Except for one slip up about 7 months ago. Well ever since I put heroin down three years ago(cold turkey) I’ve been abusing pills, up until one year I found suboxone/subutex. It was great I would take it daily but not be high I’d be just “normal” and “level”, plus it took away my depression so it was my wonder drug until I couldn’t afford the Dr and could find them on the street anymore. I have never been through a worst withdrawal or ever felt worst than coming off of buprenorphine. I just can’t function, eat, think, sleep anything of course add on the typical opiate withdrawal symptoms. The last subutex I took was about 3-4 days ago and withdrawal is already here. So I guess my question is will I have a problem at the clinic getting dosed tomorrow? Am I making a mistake by going on methadone? I just can’t come off of buprenorphine, I’ve even tried tapering down I can’t do it. I honestly want off all drugs and to be done with all of this. I had an easier time coming off of heroin than buprenorphine. Someone anyone advice please ASAP.
Will My Background Check Disclose This Information?
Question by AshyBabyprincess: Will my background check disclose this information?
Here’s the deal…I was a heroin addict for 6 yrs. (been “clean” for 3 yrs. aside from very rare use/twice a year). During my addiction I was lucky enough to have NEVER been arrested for anything…except a misdemeanor, domestic dispute/ argument w/my sister. I was arrested, but also released same night (because I didn’t have a record).
After going to court months later, my only sentencing/punishment was to “remain in drug treatment/stay clean” because by the time I had to appear in court for the domestic dispute, I was already in treatment (which I DID finish successfully within 2 yrs. of methadone treatment).
