Methadone and Harmd. Is Harmd doing more harm?
I am here to write my opinion on HARMD. This means; “Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths”.
Although their intentions might be good or in their own mind considered good. H.A.R.M.D. is disseminating lies about the drug Methadone. A co-founder of this organzition experienced a horrible tragedy in regards to the admintration of this drug in a professional medical setting.
As the story goes this individuals loved one was addicted to Oxycodone. Upon seeking medical help for this, the Medical facilty gave this person Methadone in conjunction with a benzodiazepiene and this person tragically died as a result of this combination. A dangerous combination.

My husband is on day 4 of almost a complete “cold turkey” detox. He was taking Suboxone 8mg film strips once a day for 4 months to fill the need of the Heroin he was shooting for the 6 months prior.
The first day wasnt so bad for him, he took nothing and was able to sleep almost 6 hours. Day 2, not so good. He took 2 150mg pills of Trazadone I think its spelled. That knocked him out for a few hours and had all anxiety and depression at ease. Last night he took 1 Trazadone pill and it had the opposite effect on him for some reason. He was very restless very tired but unable to sleep. We’re on day 4 now and Im very nervous for him. He’s having anxiety and feels very sluggish. His body feels very tired and hes feelings all around like shit. If ANYONE has ANY home remedies to help, please let me know.

How to Wean Off Hydrocodone?

I’m going to wean off hydrocodone. Been taking about 6-7 10mg pills a day for few months. Does anyone have advice on how to wean myself off and do you think I will experience severe withdrawals? I’m scared. Thank you.

Hi.
Well,when it comes to weaning off any opiates….one should expect to experience some amount of withdrawals.
But,if you really want to wean yourself off,and hope to experience less withdrawals(still experience some amount though)?
You should slowly taper off by 1 half a tablet per day until your completely off the Hydrocodone.
This should make the weaning much easier for you,as well as the withdrawals.
Make sure you stay well hydrated during the weaning process,and also try to eat a well balanced diet during this process also.Remember? Being scared is to be expected when weaning off opiates/an addiction.So,keep focused on your goal,and taper off 1 half a tablets per day until your completely off the Hydrocodone altogether.Done!
You’ll get there.Just remember to stay focused on your goal….getting off these things once and for all! 1 and a half tablets per day until your completely off.Stay well hydrated,and eat a well balanced diet.Good luck to you.
