Would You Agree That Salvation Has to Come From Within Yourself?

Question by Nemi Noo: Would you agree that salvation has to come from within yourself?
From my personal experience and my intuition on reflection, I can provide for you a sample of my past, that I feel even though it was a very negative experience, I had to go through it to understand the goals of the present and the future.
I used to be a heroin addict, it began by just using it to have fun.
After a very short period of time, my body became tolerant and I had to up my doses to achieve the same hit.
Heroin increases the uptake of a certain natural pain relief chemical in the body, endorphin, and it increases the number of receptors for them. When the body is deprived of heroin at this stage, the body can’t naturally match the amount of endorphin required and the body produces noradrenaline instead, this is what is supplied to the receptors looking for endorphin and adrenaline makes us sensitive and anxious.

“Suboxone” is a drug used by recovering heroin addicts, prescribed by doctors, which helps with withdrawal symptoms. It is designed to be only used for a few days. THe drug itself is narcotic and addictive, that is why people are prescribed for only a short period of time. To stay on it long is starting another addiction, similar to using methadone.

this is not a bad thing you gone this long you CAN MAKE IT THOUGH THIS

Answer by Heathflax
Well, since the drug in tobacco–the drug nicotine–is a very very powerfully addicting one–it’s reported more addicting than heroin–wouldn’t it more more likely just be the normal thing, that its echoes and flashbacks are going to re-occur occasionally? Even maybe occasionally over time measured in years, or years and years (depending upon how heavilyt/how long the person used the nicotine).

So i have never had any psychological affect or emotional effects or anything besides taking away pain and other stuff but i’ve always felt the normal as i am on them like i do when i’m not on them. when i get them prescribed for me like when i leave surgery and they say i’ll be taking them for 3 weeks i only need them usually for like around 4 days and my friends are always asking me for them but i say no and i tell them they don’t do anything for you except take away pain and stuff. but they never believe me and they say it messes you up a lot but it doesn’t even effect me. is this common or does it seem weird or something? i also don’t do any drugs so i wouldn’t be use to them at all or anyhting and i never have any addiction to them what so ever which shows by me easily pulling off of them. so what do you think?

sounds like a good drug, it has a short half-life so she’ll be right in a couple of days.

Answer by M. A
Taking it for that period of time, it is unlikely she will withdraw from the drug. However, warn her that the withdraw is horrible and will last about a week – some symptoms being depression, seizures, aggressiveness and such.
