Risks Associated With Heroin Overdose

There are many risks of heroin overdose. Overdosing on this drug can happen very easily especially when you are already under its influence. Even a person who has been doing the drug for a long period of time and has developed sort of immunity or tolerance to its effects can have a heroin overdose without even realizing it. Often times the body will just suddenly lose that immunity and the person would have taken enough that their body could not handle it without the immunity.

At approximately thirty minutes after a person has taken the drug, their body will begin to sort of metabolize it, as it does so, it causes the entire bodies process to slow down. There are many risks that are possible when a person overdoses on this opiate; they include death and damage to the heart, liver, and kidneys.    Read more...
