I am prescribed Hydrocodone 10/325 every 4 hours for my pain from my surgery and bursitis in my right shoulder. I am planning on doing a detox drink and light exercise for the next 10 days. And after the 10 days of detox I will just eat healthier and take jogs and go swimming a few times a week. I sort of created my own little diet and exercise plan that I believe is going to work best for me. If you want to know what it is, then email me.
I only plan on losing about 15 pounds to start, and keeping it off. I’m 5’2″ and about 145.
I was wondering if the vicodin is going to affect my diet? Does anyone know if vicodin retains your weight? My boyfriend says the vicodin is making me gain weight, but I don’t know if that’s true.
I can’t stop taking them yet because I just had surgery and my doctor says I have to. Plus, my shoulder is in a lot of pain if I do not. But I have some belly and arm fat (the tricep area) that I want to get rid of. I’m not really overweight, but I’ve been small my whole life. I’m used to being about 110 – 115 pounds.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate myself. I just would like to get rid of some belly fat. That’s normal, right?

Y!A has really been making me mad lately. No, vicodin will not make you gain weight. More often than not they will actually make you lose weight. Opiates dull the tastebuds for some reason, at least the stronger ones, vicodin probably not as much, but they will generally make you eat less because of your taste buds being dulled. It also has to do with the chemicals in your brain, the nice warm, fuzzy feeling the vicodin will give you will usually dull feelings of hunger. I didn’t look at your pictures, but in all my experience, people on opiates will lose weight. Good luck with your diet!
