Why Do Republicans Want a Never Ending Military Occupation of Afghanistan With No Timetable for Withdrawal?

Question by Richard V: Why do Republicans want a never ending Military Occupation of Afghanistan with no timetable for withdrawal?
House Republicans don’t allow vote forcing Administration to stick to Afghanistan timetable

Washington – House Republicans pulled the plug on a vote Thursday on a bipartisan amendment to a defense bill that would force the Obama administration to stick firmly to its timetable for getting U.S. troops out of Afghanistan.

Republicans were concerned the amendment could pass, according to two GOP congressional sources. Instead, GOP members decided to allow limited debate on Afghanistan, but just on one amendment sponsored by California Democrat Barbara Lee that was guaranteed to fail. It would essentially end the war in Afghanistan by limiting funding to the “safe and orderly withdrawal” of U.S. troops.

Heroin Withdrawal: I’m Quitting Smokeless Tobacco, How Long Will Nicotine, Cotinine, Etc. Show Up on a Blood Test?

Question 1 – How long does nicotine stay in the system?

Answer Nicotine is a short-acting drug that is eliminated from the body relatively quickly (i.e., within a day or so). However, the effects of acute nicotine withdrawal can be felt for as much as two weeks or more. In addition, the byproducts of nicotine can be detected in the blood for up to a month after you stop smoking. This is only of concern if you are in a situation where someone else might want to test you for the presence of nicotine or nicotine byproducts in your system. – Source: Blair’s Newsletter, 7/10/00. Heroin Withdrawal: About Heroin and Heroin Withdrawal?

Question by Ande Snn: About heroin and heroin withdrawal?
First of all all that I want it’s information about the thing that I’m asking about and not your personal opinions about what I’m doing.

I want to start doing Heroin, only pure heroin of course, and since I don’t want to damage my veins I’ll snort it through my nose.

Since I don’t have too much money and I also have a job I don’t want to do Heroin all the day or daily. I want to take it maybe one to four times per day and also not a very big amount. A moderated one.

I was just reading on a site about the withdrawal symptoms of Heroin and it was saying :

“With physical dependence, the body has adapted to the presence of the drug, and withdrawal symptoms occur if use of the drug is reduced or stopped abruptly. Some users take heroin on an occasional basis, thus avoiding physical dependence.

Heroin Withdrawal: Paxil withdrawal….How Long Does It Last!!??

Question by firedragon729: Paxil withdrawal….How long does it Last!!??
iv’e been on a 40 mg. dose of paxil for the past 6 months. on my last bottle before the precription ran out it felt like it wasn’t working as well as it was at first, so when i ran out I thought it was time to quit, & the widrawal symptoms wouldnt be that bad but it’s been a week since i’ve been off it and i feel worse than I did before I started taking it, i can’t get to sleep at all despite how tired i am and my mind races all night, i usually never get headaches but now my head pounds, and i feel like i have the flu. i cant think straight, feel lightheaded all the time, zapping and whoosing sensations, bad panic attacks, fear like ive never felt before, almost thought i was dying the other night. i sometimes feel like im out of my body. i did manage to get an hour of sleep the past 2 nights and had the craziest, disturbing dreams ever. i shouldnt have gone cold turkey. how long does it last before u feel sane again? this is hell and i will be going back on it if they dont subside.
I wan’t to thank everyone who responded, your info. was very helpful and opened my eyes about the truth of the drug. another week has gone by and i am feeling significantly better, but still a few symptoms every now and then, still feel like i have a mild hangover and the flu-like symptoms are subsiding. but nothing like last week which was nothing less than the pit of hell (not an understatement). even though i felt good when i was on paxil, it was like putting on a mask and i didnt even realize it. now that im off it I can feel my old self coming back…i am aware that the depression may/will return and if it does i wont go back on any precription drug, counceling and st. johns wort may be the key, but not drugs. I know many ppl need precription drugs to keep alive, and I know that many of them are safe and have a good rep. but there are many of them out there, like paxil, that u have to be careful of or better yet, steer clear of. thank you all again for your help, i appreciated it.
