Ask a doctor for a perscription to subutex is my best advice. It was publicized a while back that that was what Artie Lange of the Stern show used to overcome his addiction to heroin. I have no idea how expensive they are, but they are surely cheaper than the habit.

Good Luck!

Withdrawals From Pain Killers (Day2)?

Question by Pink Chickita: Withdrawals from Pain Killers (day2)?
im staying strong and listening to alot of reinforcing music to cope with the thoughts of relapsing. I broke down yesterday (first day of withdrawals) and told my mother what i am going through and thank god she was supportive. My sister is addicted to heroin so i know hearing this is not an easy thing for her. I started taking the pills when i was going through a depressive state with my body and the pills curbed my appitite and that way i wouldnt eat as much. At first it was like a god send and i thought it was ok if i was only doing it after work to stop me from eating. I used to be a weekend thing to get high then became my hook for loosing weight. On the weekend became everyday after work and so on…it never got to the point where i needed one to get out of bed but i would feel sick every morning after taking a pill. I used anything from vicodin to percocet to oc’s to opana.. (opana is the DEVIL!!) and is a VERY strong opiad.. Im on day two and im feeling better then yesterday but last night i had the RLS (restless leg syndrome), couldnt sleep, unimaginable stomach pains, can bairly keep food down, hot and cold flashes, stuffy/runny nose, coughing, sneezing, and headaches. These symptomes are HORRIBLE and im working through it all because i do not have time off right now. thank god its friday and i have the weekend to recooperate. Im really worried because everyone says day 3-4 are the worst and im not looking forward to it. (quitting cold turkey so when i think about pills i think about the w/d and will stay far far away!!) any advice on anything will help and will be appreciated thanks in advance!

Suboxone Withdrawals, Need Advice?

Question by Mrs.Spears: suboxone withdrawals, need advice?
ok I have ask this question twice before and can never seem to get a direct answer. I am currently going through withdrawals from suboxone, nothing to severe except the muscle aches and restless legs, my question is, if I take a lortab or tylenol 3 when I need it most (no more than 1 a day) will that prolong the withdrawals or will it help me get through the withdrawals?? I only have 4 lortabs and 2 tylenol 3’s so its not like I am going to get addicted to those. Basically like taking motrin or something this is just a little stronger. I hope someone can answer my question directly, will it prolong the withdrawals or will it help?? any advice will be helpful, thank you in advance.

What Is the Neurological Response During the First Week After Smoking the “last” Cigarette?

Question by beadswetty: What is the neurological response during the first week after smoking the “last” cigarette?
Hey… I insist on quitting without any aids. Pills, patches, gum, whatever.. seems pointless to me… kind of like delaying the inevitable.

I find it much easier to accomplish things when I understand them fully. I would like to know what’s going on in my brain when I am nicotine free for extended periods of time. I know the feelings I get but I don’t understand what they are and why they are coming.

Can anyone point me to a website or explanation of the neurological response during the first week after cessation? I could not find any website with this particular information. Also, how long does it take for the physical side effects to subside?

I’m going to do this, just need some info to guide myself when in doubt.

Hey guys…
Can someone please tell me how long do Paxil Withdrawal symptoms last???
I am 24 and very healthy female… I take vitamins and Omega 3s and very good care of my body because I am a professional dancer. I eat well and exercise almost daily. Don’t smoke, don’t drink, no drugs or alcohol or any of that shit. Kind of person that believes everything can be solved with eating healthy/ taking care of yourself. Besides getting my tonsils removed IVE NEVER HAD ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS.
